A number of years ago, I attended a bookkeeping class created and taught by Christina LeBlanc. The class balanced QuickBooks accounting software with the basics of bookkeeping and accounting. At the end of the class, I was prepared in various aspects of general bookkeeping and was asked to take on work before the class was over. Her multifaceted approach gave me a strong understanding of underlying accounting concepts that allowed me to adapt the QuickBooks software to a variety of use cases and client needs. Over the years I founded an accounting firm, taught bookkeeping classes, and went on to a successful sale of my firm.
